Heartbeat Dance Band was amazing!!!
From the beginning, Liz was super professional and easy to work with. She helped ensure the band knew that we wanted tons of dancing and worked with us to ensure our unique requests and songs were incorporated! The day of, the band was amazing!!! All of our friends and family have said that Heartbeat is by far the best wedding band they have ever heard. Literally everyone at our wedding (even family members like my uncle who I have never seen dance!) were on the dance floor! We also are so appreciative that the band learned not only our first dance song, but at least 5 other songs that we wanted throughout the evening. And our favorite moment of the night, by far, was when the band played our first dance song for us to practice our choreographed dance while everyone was downstairs at cocktail hour. HIGHLY recommend!!
We gave them a list of all the songs we wanted played and they did exactly that. They also learned our first dance song which is not a popular song and absolutely nailed it. They also did a very specific rendition of a very popular song for my wife’s dance with her father and they did that spectacularly well.I suggest getting all four singers, they all bring something special to the performance but you can’t go wrong with any combination of them. I will reach out to them for any future event that requires a band. Again, I cannot recommend them enough.
We worked with Liz at Ariel Music and the Heartbeat Dance Band for our wedding in August of 2016, and couldn’t have been more pleased. Band members performed for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and of course, the party. We received such glowing compliments from attendees of all ages. The packed dance floor was proof enough that all our guests were having a great time. In addition to the music, the Heartbeat team did a tremendous job working with our venue staff to manage the evening. The band managed to both be a highlight of party, and yet, blend in seamlessly. A truly professional outfit that I highly recommend for all your event needs!
Liz and the Heartbeat band was so easy to work with from the very beginning to the night of my daughters wedding! We were not worried and felt so comfortable with selecting them. They played for our ceremony, cocktail hour and wedding! We had 11 pieces and they played continuously and kept the guest on the dance floor the entire time! The sound was perfect as well as the 3 singers and the entire band!
They had our guests on their feet during the entire wedding, and six months later everyone is still talking about how great they were!
We worked with Liz through Ariel Music & Events and the Heartbeat Dance band. From the moment we heard them at one of their showcases, we knew we needed to book them for our wedding! Liz was easy to work with, well organized and accommodating to all our requests, making sure things were exactly the way we wanted. The Heartbeat Dance Band was outstanding!! We made some requests for “must play songs” but otherwise we let them choose their songs and they did not disappoint! They had our guests up and dancing throughout the entire reception tailoring their playlist to the vide of our crowd. Many guests left saying how fantastic the band was. The band members were very professional. Michael (band leader) and Christie (a lead singer & our emcee) helped keep the night going smoothly. My now husband and I saw them at one of their showcases and immediately knew we wanted to book them! The whole process with the band was seamless and they did not disappoint the day of the wedding. A 10 piece band really brought a fabulous energy to our wedding. The entire night many guests came up to us to complimenting the music. The whole band had great stage presence and were so professional! I would absolutely book them again.
If you want a great band for a wedding and I mean a great band that gets your guests on their feet the moment they walk into the ballroom it is HEARTBEAT Dance Band! We had Heartbeart Dance Band, part of Ariel Music and Events for both of our daughters’ weddings and they really are an outstanding band. My daughter and her husband requested 4 songs that were not on Heartbeat’s song list but they learned the songs quickly and did a an amazing job, particularly a song by Phish. The band’s voices are terrific!

My husband and I always have good times at weddings that have good music, so we prioritized music when planning for our own wedding to make it unforgettable. After contacting various music vendors, only Heartbeat Dance Band invited us to a live performance so that we could make our final decision without undue pressure. We were blown away when we did see, hear, and dance to them and booked HBDB right after. Though our wedding was almost a year away after booking with Heartbeat, we were constantly in touch with the band manager who was very patient and responsive with our questions and requests, accommodating us and making the groom and me feel so assured that we were in good hands. As the wedding date drew nearer, I had a rather picky selection of songs to be played and in particular, a song in Korean to be played as a surprise for my grandmother. The manager handled these rather particular requests in stride, and needless to say, when the band played the surprise song, all our guests and my grandmother loved it, who was given the mic to sing along by the band members!It’s these interactions that I remember – the pleasant conversations and responsive communication from the manager, and how quickly the band picked up on the mood, energy of our guests – that I will remember so fondly; even more, however, though our wedding was a couple months ago, every single friend, family member, and guest we’ve since since are all still so animated when sharing how much fun they had because of the band — how awesome the band was, how it was the absolute best band they’ve ever heard, and how they couldn’t believe the singers were singing (they sounded as if they were off a recording, that’s how good they are!), how they danced the entire time!
My husband and I are still beaming from how much fun we had and how much fun our guests had because of Heartbeat Dance Band, and we feel so lucky and grateful that we had Heartbeat at our wedding in making our day so wonderfully unforgettable for us and our loved ones. Heartbeat Dance Band was amazing! We opted to add on a saxophone and I think it really made a big difference. They were extremely professional and fun to work with! Almost every guest came up to me to say that they loved the band – and a few asked for their name to recommend to others! Barbara was a delight to work with – and made the time to ensure that they had the perfect set list for the night. They were perfect and really made our day exactly as we wanted it to be!!!
I hired Heartbeat Entertainment for my daughter’s wedding at Red Maple Vineyard in October. They were amazing. From the outset, Barbara was a pleasure to work with. I couldn’t have asked for better communication. And the band was just wonderful. I can’t tell you how many people said:

We recently hosted our daughter’s August wedding in Newport, Rhode Island engaging Heartbeat, for the ceremony,the cocktail reception, as well as, the evening dinner and dancing event. Barbara, the lead female vocalist as well as manager, masterfully orchestrated every detail with the Bride and Groom creating the order of events and perfect flow through out their wedding celebration. From the moment the guests entered the reception ballroom, and the orchestrated musical introduction of the Bride and Groom the band energized everyone to dance all night long. Heartbeat created a lasting impression, as our guests are still talking about, “the best wedding band ever” as the music lifted the love and energy, at the reception, higher and higher, and everyone danced, all night long. Heartbeat Dance Band came recommended to us by another band we really liked, but was already booked for our wedding date. And their professional recommendation was spot on! We went to see them live at their showcase in Greenwich, CT, and they were amazing. We booked them that night. They were so easy to work with in the time leading up to the wedding and they have a great song list. They are also willing to learn new songs if the song you want isn’t on their playlist. On the day of the wedding, they were amazing. They did a great job with both oldies and contemporary music. They cover a wide range of vocals and musical styles. All my guests were complimenting me on the band. They really kept the party going and I danced the night away, just like I wanted to! I would highly recommend Heartbeat Dance Band. They are a great value in the New York Area, and they made my wedding the night of my dreams! Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about them, and I will be telling all my friends to use them.
From the first interview with Barbara until the sparkler send-off at the end of our reception, Heartbeat Dance Band exceeded all of our expectations! We heard time and time again from our guests what a great time they had dancing all night long. Heartbeat Dance Band plays all varieties from oldies (but goodies) to current top 40. We could not have been more impressed with their performance. They truly made our night one to remember forever. We highly recommend Heartbeat Dance Band to anyone seeking wedding entertainment.
If you are reading this because you are considering hiring this band do it now before they get booked on the date of your event. We hired them for a wedding and they were by far the best musical entertainment I have ever seen at a wedding. The band itself is amazing and played every song perfect. Sometimes when a band plays a song that was not originally played with instruments it sounds a little off or weird, not with this band. It is easy to see the amount of talent that the members of this band posses and the amount of time that they must spend perfecting their craft. The singers were even better than the band, and to tell you the truth I would not be surprised if one or two of them moved on to bigger things. They were perfectly in tune and pitch was perfect. They made sure that our night flowed seamlessly through the night, and through the serving of food. They are able to sing almost anything, and if they don’t know a song, given notice they will learn it for you. As far as dealing with them before the event Barbra who is like the bands manager (also singer in the band) was extremely easy to talk to and returned all emails and phone calls in a timely manor. We never heard the answer no from her. A few days before our wedding we spent quite an amount of time on the phone with her so that she could make sure that any detail within her control was tweaked to our liking. She was extremely honest and upfront with us about everything. By that I mean there was one Aerosmith song that we had requested, and she told us we know the song but Steven Tyler has a range that is impossible to match, we can play the song, we know the song but we sound better playing a different song. That went along way with me, I am sure that many other bands would have just played the song and sound not as good as they can be. Throughout my wedding one of the things I heard over and over again was where did you find that band they are amazing. Their videos on their website give them no justice they are way and I mean way better in person. You can watch them perform their showcase in Ct., but it is in a smaller room than most events will be in and they sound much better in an open area than they do in the hotel in Ct. I recommend this band to anyone for their price you can’t beat them, and they are better than any wedding band you can find in the Tri-state area.
Heartbeat Dance Band was absolutely phenomenal! My husband and I along with our 200 guests loved the music, performance, interaction, song choices and more. We truly did not want the night to end. Heartbeat had everyone up out of their chairs and tearing up the dance floor. The band also played a fabulous mixture of new and old songs, making every choice enjoyable to each one of our guests. Barbara and her team are not only professional, they are a ton of fun. We highly recommend this band to anyone that wants to have an unforgettable wedding with upbeat, exciting music!

The Heartbeat Dance Band is the best wedding band out there! We saw them at our friends wedding and knew we wanted to hire them at our wedding this past summer in Newport, RI. Hiring the Heart Beat Dance Band was the best decision we made for our wedding. We hired Tony to play the guitar for the ceremony and cocktail hour and then we had the rest of the band for the reception. The band had everyone (people of all ages) on the dance floor the entire night. Several of our wedding guests commented that the music was amazing and it was the best band they’d heard at a wedding. In addition, Barbara was very professional and easy to work with throughout the time leading up the wedding and was always very responsive to my emails. I recommend the band to anyone who wants amazing live music!
We had Heartbeat for our wedding in May at Longshore in Westport CT and they were AMAZING!! Super easy to work with and they played fantastic music that kept our guests literally dancing the whole night! Barbara did an amazing job taking my requests and understanding what I was looking for I couldn’t have asked for a better band, they made the reception exactly what I had hoped for!
They exceeding our expectations! We ended up going with Barbara and The Heartbeat Dance band after looking at other bands- And found that their music, professionalism, and overall performance was the best. (We were able to see them at the showcase!- So we knew what we were in for). Huge song selection and played all genres. Anything they don’t know- they would learn. We got married August 10th of this year and they even played Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines. They played all of our request as well as the request of guest and read the crowd so well. We are still getting compliments on our band!

Heartbeat Dance Band provided the music for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They did a spectacular job! They have a huge song list and can play anything from Sinatra to Journey to Black Eyed Peas and Katy Perry….and they play it all well! Barbara was our contact person with the band, and she listened carefully to every request we had, big and small. She had great suggestions for things we were not sure about, and we trusted her judgement in terms of what works best for weddings. They did not disappoint! The band knew how to read the crowd and kept the music up when the dance floor was full. It was packed most of the night. Not only was the music incredible, but they were super flexible in terms of setting up for our ceremony and reception in the same room with little time in between. The keyboard music for the ceremony and cocktail hour was beautiful, and the reception music had a high energy level throughout the night. They payed attention to detail, for example, they played the instrumental version of our first dance song through transition times (like cake cutting, and when people were asked to be seated for meals). It added such a nice personal touch! People kept stopping us to tell us “We love the band!” We switched from a different band to Heartbeat 11 weeks before our wedding because of logistical issues with the other band. We could not be happier we found Heartbeat and highly recommend them for your event!
My husband and I loved the Heartbeat Dance band from the minute we saw their showcase. Barbara was very friendly and easy to work with. They play songs that showcase each member’s skills very well. They also play a great mix of modern and classic songs. Their rendition of “Shout!” is a must. They kept the dance floor going all night even though we had a wide range of ages. They offered to learn our first dance song which we were very appreciative of. We were very happy with the band & we received a ton of compliments from our guests. We hope we get to see them again in the future!
Heartbeat was everything a father of the bride could want in a wedding band. From the very start, the band was responsive and very helpful on music choices and organization for the evening. Barbara masterfully handled all details of the wedding party procession after the cocktail hour when most of us were, shall we say, distracted by other events. And, of course, there was the music ! I was debating between a DJ and a band until I went to listen to Heartbeat at one of their shows. I was overly impressed and immediately reserved them for our wedding. I had many different song choices and games and ideas that I wanted to do at the wedding and they came in full force and pulled everything off without a hitch! I 100% recommend Heartbeat for any special event that you may have. Barbara and the team are AMAZING! Over the top with service and quality, not to mention outstanding voices that cover such a variety of styles, perfect for an event that has many different age groups! Heartbeat Dance Band made my daughter’s Wedding at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington CT. an incredible experience. All of our guests were up dancing and were thoroughly entertained throughout the afternoon. Barbara LaValle worked closely with my daughter and we couldn’t be happier with the result. It’s no surprise to me that they were named one of the fifteen best Bands in America. Great singers and musicians that play everything. They deserve ten stars!
Heartbeat dance band was without a doubt one of the many reasons our wedding was so great. They the energy they provide as well as amazing vocals and music was just out of this world. Barbara is great to work with as she makes the whole process very easy. Everything from the introductions to the last dance was just spot on and could not have been better. I honestly think that at least 2 other couples have now booked our band since the wedding (which was only two weeks ago) as they were that amazing. Barbara and her team certainly know how to make a party flow and keep everyone on the dancefloor. She worked with us to incorporate some very specific requests which made our day even more special. We had also been looking at several NYC bands, but were thrilled when we heard Heartbeat live at a presentation in a hotel in CT, and also felt that the value for their product was amazing. Trust me, you should book them! We also had Tony (the guitarist) provide the music for our ceremony and he was great. He learned some specific songs to accompany our Rabbi and did an amazing job!

Barbara, we knew they were it! She was extremely professional and easy to work with. Some bands are from agencies or part of packaged services where they have musicians for hire, and you never know who you will get the night of your event. Not Heartbeat, they are a tight band and the members are the same, that shows in their performance. They played a wide range of music, and did all genres sooo well, which is rare in a band. Some bands are only good in one genre. I was surprised at how versatile their sound was and how current their song list is. There is nothing this band can’t do!Barbara was also nice enough to work with my husband and allowed him to live his life long dream of being a Rockstar. Everyone in the band backed him up truly made him look like a rockstar, it will be an experience he will never forget! We can’t thank you enough Heartbeat! My (now) hubby & I originally booked a DJ for our wedding. Let’s be honest, times are tough right now. But when I saw Heart Beat at my husband’s best friend’s wedding I knew we had made a mistake. We canceled the DJ and scrambled what we could for Heart Beat because we haven’t had that much fun in a long time; I wanted our wedding to top it! And it did. I’ve been to tons of weddings, we all have. And there is nothing better than showing up to a wedding expecting the regular cheesy DJ antics and instead getting a 5 star, red hot, live professional performance. Don’t get me wrong the bride was still the star of the show but Heartbeat and Barbara lead the night in the most seamless, classy and fun way! We danced till our feet hurt, and then danced some more! The band played all our old favorites and some new tracks too. The energy was electric and the horns were hot. Heartbeat Dance Band is seriously where its at.

I don’t usually take the time to review vendors online but I created this account just so I could review this great band. They don’t just play music, they truly make your wedding the experience that you envision (or in my case, my wife’s vision). They play such a huge variety of music and the party doesn’t stop, not even for a second. Nothing makes me more insane than bands that stop between every song. I hope they are still around for our 5 or 10 year anniversary. Thanks Heart Beat.
My best friend had Heartbeat for their wedding last year and as soon as my fiancé proposed I already knew who we were gonna hire for our wedding. So. Much. Fun.
We live in Buffalo, NY but had our wedding in Connecticut becasue that is where my wife is from. All of our family and friends from Buffalo who attended our wedding are still talking about how amazing this band was and they could not be more spot on. It was incredible. They played a little of everything and the dance floor was packed all night.
They were great to deal with and even learned a song for us that was not on their long sheet of songs they already knew how to play.

The Heartbeat Dance Band is AWESOME! I am so happy that they played at my wedding. They are professional and very entertaining. Our introduction to the reception was unforgettable. Heartbeat Dance Band is a great band! We loved them, and our guests raved about them as well. The song list is very varied, from popular dance music to jazz standards. The band did a great job at reading the crowd during the wedding and knowing exactly what types of songs to play at what points during the night. I first came across Heartbeat Dance Band after my wedding. I work full time as an event planner for a university. Heartbeat Dance Band has been my band of choice for our annual faculty/staff holiday party for many years now. The band is fabulous and they do a wonderful job. Great combo of music. They are sure to get you and your guests up and dancing.

We are so happy we got heartbeat to play at our wedding. they are extremely talented and definitely know how to get a crowd going. i love hearing current pop music played by wedding bands and they are constantly learning new songs- by far, my favorite song of the day was the lady gaga medley! people were going crazy over it!!!

I was recently married and I hired the heartbeat dance band as my band. They were amazing! They played many different types of music that were appealing to the young and old. Many of my guests called me after the wedding to tell me how wonderful the band was. I could not have asked for a better band! They are the best band in Connecticut!
We chose the Heartbeat Dance band for our wedding after having a blast as a guest at a wedding that also had Heartbeat. They play such a wide range of music, rock, r&b, etc, that all guests have a great time. They are extremely professionaly to work with and really helped the planning process go smoothly. They were amazing on our wedding night – absolutely seamless and we had an amazing time dancing the ENTIRE time.
